Can a SIBO quiz diagnose SIBO?
No. An online symptom quiz cannot confirm SIBO or rule it out. It can prompt reflection, but diagnosis requires a healthcare professional's assessment.

Why symptoms are not enough
Common digestive symptoms overlap across several conditions. A point-based questionnaire does not examine you, review the full clinical context, or measure microbial overgrowth. A disclaimer does not turn its score into a validated medical result.
How evaluation differs
A clinician may consider a hydrogen or methane breath test when appropriate. Breath testing has limitations, and interpretation depends on the clinical context. Small-intestinal fluid sampling is another investigation used in some circumstances. A quiz is not an online replacement for either test.
A score is not a probability
Labels such as low, moderate, or high describe the quiz's configured outcome rules. We have not established that those categories accurately predict SIBO. Do not use them to decide that testing or care is definitely required or definitely unnecessary.
What to do after a result
Treat the result as optional conversation material. Describe symptoms and their effect on daily life, and ask what other explanations should be considered. Avoid starting antibiotics, supplements, or a restrictive diet because of a score.
Keep useful context
Read our symptoms guide and overview if you want background before an appointment. Seeking care does not require completing the quiz, sharing a result, or contacting a practitioner through this website.
